JUCO and Community College Colleges and Athletic Programs

JUCO refers to junior and community colleges fielding NJCAA, CCCAA, or NWAC athletic programs. Most are open admission, so there's no GPA floor to enroll. Athletes use two years to raise their grades, build game film, and develop physically, then transfer to a four-year program.

It's a well-worn route to D-I and D-II, not a fallback. Plenty of current four-year rosters include players who started at the JUCO level and transferred up with a clean academic record and a proven body of work.
