Common Questions
Each high school is ranked by its total verified college recruiting pipeline over the last 5 years. We count the number of graduates now on a college athletic roster across football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's track & field. The data comes from first-party scraping of 1,597 college athletic rosters cross-referenced against the federal NCES high school database. No self-reported data, no paid listings.
The top feeder high schools tend to be large public programs in talent-rich states (Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, Ohio) and elite private football factories on the east coast (Don Bosco Prep, IMG Academy, Bergen Catholic, St. John's College HS). Click any school in the list below to see their full destination list and alumni.
Five sports: football, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's track & field, and women's track & field. The pipeline count on each card is the total across all five. Individual school pages break down the count by sport and college tier (FBS, FCS, D-I, D-II, D-III, NAIA, JUCO).
Start by building a verified athletic profile with your height, weight, position, GPA, and film. Most college coaches recommend reaching out in your sophomore or junior year, though NCAA contact rules vary by sport. RawRecruit gives you a personal AI Fit Score against every college program based on your profile and historical roster data, so you know which schools are actually looking for someone like you.
We track all 51,000+ U.S. public and private high schools from the NCES database. Only schools with at least one verified college athlete on a roster in the last 5 years appear in these rankings. If your school isn't listed, it means we haven't yet linked one of its alumni to a college roster. This happens as more rosters are scraped and cross-referenced weekly.
Most college coaches recommend starting in your sophomore year of high school (9th-10th grade) by building a profile and reaching out to programs. NCAA rules limit when coaches can initiate contact, but you can reach out any time. Recruiting timelines vary by sport: football has early signing in December, basketball has live evaluation periods in April and July, and track & field recruiting intensifies during indoor and outdoor championship seasons.
RawRecruit tracks the college recruiting pipeline from over 51,000 U.S. high schools across football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's track & field. Each high school is ranked by the total number of verified alumni currently on a college athletic roster, sourced from first-party scraping of 1,597 college programs spanning all NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO divisions.
Whether you're a recruit assessing your school's pipeline strength or a parent researching college placement rates, RawRecruit's data gives you an honest, verified picture. Create a free account to build your athlete profile and unlock AI-powered Fit Scores matching you to the college programs most likely to recruit someone exactly like you.
